Hi all, I know we have discussed the Cairnes situation enough, except that on the weekend I was at a beer garden west of Accra in Ghana which was surrounded by farming and houses. When we were leaving I saw a sign saying that this was a RAMSAR site. The whole place was screwed up, and I don't even bother taking my bins because it is pointless. I might not understand fully, but why bother having these sites if they do not offer protection? If the situation here is anything to go by, we could have a RAMSAR site in Cairnes, with the RAMSAR Hotel, Phalarope Marina, and the Laughing Gull ice cream parlor. Iain Campbell AGEM LTD Ghana |
