I'm not going to confess which birds I haven't seen (except that now I've seen Gound Cuckoo-Shrikes), in any case I grumble enough at the mention of certain species for people to guess which my particular bug-bears are. However I was thinking that for those, like me, who don't make an effort to keep a year-list the proportion of birds on one's life list that you've seen only once must be quite large. Again, I'm not going to confess what this is with mine. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Dr John Leonard PO Box 243, Woden, ACT 2606, AUSTRALIA Great Oxymorons of the World: No.1: an Interesting Drunk http://spirit.net.au/~jleonard @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ |
