Normally in our area Pied Currawongs chase the larger, but less numerous, Greys away. Today however I watched two Pieds encouraging with urgent calls (or were they just calling to other Pieds) two Greys who were levering off a large patch of bark from a Eucalyptus nicholii. When the patch fell off both Greys and four Pieds flew down and began feeding on the insects on its underside. Throughout this the Greys ignored the Pieds. Half and hour later the Pieds were back to chasing the Greys away. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Dr John Leonard PO Box 243, Woden, ACT 2606, AUSTRALIA "The form of our thoughts is the form of our wisdom, the form of our action is the extent of our wisdom."
