SORRY ABOUT THIS ONE FOLKS
It came via another (work-related) list that I'm on.
Thought someone could help- or we could all just scratch our heads
and ask "WHY"????

Subject: Recording of parrot and choir?
Dear ChoralTalk and Choralist,
Forgive me for posting this question to both lists, but I'd be interested
to know if anyone on either list or the newsgroup can help me with a
strange request.
About fifteen years ago, I heard a recording of a PARROT singing "I Left My
Heart in San Francisco." The parrot sings a few lines, and then a choir
takes over (in the middle of a phrase, as I recall).
This may have been dubbed from a radio broadcast, and it may have been from
a Paul Harvey show.
Can anyone help me find this recording again? Like, this week? I am doing
one of my own radio commentaries -- this one is on the subject of vocal
tone color -- and I could really use that recording for a memorable
illustration.
I will be grateful for, and impressed by, any leads.
Thank you,
Nina Gilbert
