Dear Birdingaussers, A slip of the pen: Fork-tail = Black Kite. Fork-tailed Kite was the common name before the 1970s and still the folk-name for the bird. Funny how scientists shouldn't be let near common names: or committees. Please don't start me on that one. Best wishes Glen Ingram Brisbane, Australia P.S.
