Hello, Peter
If you find a stunned or otherwise injured bird, the first aid treatment
for the shock it is certainly experiencing is to keep it WARM, DARK AND
QUIET (eg. in a cardboard box)for about an hour. If it is still alive
and awake offer it water, preferably with glucose or honey in it and
seek further advice,( or if it seems OK release it where you found it).
Don't leave the water in the box or the bird may get wet and chilled.
Regards, Anne Green (Member of Wildlife Welfare Organisation of S.A.
