Highlights in New South Wales over the last week are as follows: WHITE-BREASTED SEA-EAGLE 1 pair apparently nesting Sydney Olympics site 31/5 PAINTED BUTON-QUAIL 2 Caperte Valley 31/5 GLOSSY BLACK COCKATOO 8 Towari Reserve, Scone 5/6 and 2 Cobram Nat. Park, Central Coast 4/6 SWIFT PARROT 200 Capertee Valley, NW of Lithgow 30/5 feeding on flowering White Box with 200 Regent Honeyeaters! FAIRY MARTIN 1 Cornwallis Road, Richmond 8/6 DUSKY WOODSWALLOW 6 Sackville Ridge, Windsor 8/6 - both this and the above species proving that these two species do overwinter in Sydney BEAUTIFUL FIRETAIL 1 Capertee Valley 31/5 Chris Gladwin Sydney, Australia BIRDLINE NSW (02) 9290 1778 - sponsored by Birds Australia, NSW Field Ornithologists Club and Cumberland Bird Observers Club Please reply direct as I am not able to see "Birding-Aus" |
