If both birds were from Uruguay, my guesses are: Great Pampa-finch, Embernagra platensis Grassland Sparrow, Ammodramus (Myospiza) humeralis My sources were: Birds of Argentina & Uruguay, Narosky & Yzurieta, Buenos Aires, 1993 South American Birds, a Photographic Aid to Identification, Dunning, USA, 1987 |
