I'm off in a week for an (early season!) trip to southern Cape York.
Obviously Thomas & Thomas, and Lloyd Nielsen's EXCELLENT new book are an
important part of our planning, but I still have two questions, if anyone
can help.

Does anyone know if there'll be any chance of (sensibly) getting in to the
Iron Range in the third or fourth week of June? I'm especially thinking of
the Wenlock, but there may well be other surprises I'm unaware of.

Neither of the two above books deals with the west coast of the Cape eg
around Weipa. Does anyone know if it's worth going to from a natural history
point of view ie birds and other? Is it significantly different from the
Karumba area?

My thanks in anticipation - I'll be happy to dedicate my 500th species to
any assistance!

Cheers,

Ian
