having recently joined this list i was hoping for some information on
birds, interesting notes, etc.I have "birdwatched" for over 20 years, in
the u.k.,europe,several pacific islands and, for the past 13 years, new
zealand. I only go birdwatching by myself or with my wife - huge packs
of birders i avoid. Now, since coming to N.S.W. i have been appalled at
the enormous amount of regulations, laws, prohibitions, licences,
permits and petty bureaucrats more than willing to enforce them.
are we now going to need a permit {signed in triplicate} to go for a
walk in the bush and look at birds, plants, animals? I have 27 acres and
most of it is bush.If i want to stroll at night with a spotlight to see
what i can see will i have to abide by the rules and regulations which
it seems some people are very eager to draw up? i have to words to say
to them, and the second word is "off".
