Morning all, Just to keep folk up to date, the Twelve Apostles Erect-crested Penguin was seen on Saturday 1 March at about 0900 and again at c1600 -1615. This bird appears to have a little nook where it shelters from the wind. If it is not visible when you arrive, you will just have to wait patiently for it to pop up again. The ECP at Bridgewater Bay was not seen at the weekend. Those lucky enough to see it last week said it was in smart adult plumage and looking ready to make the long trip homeward. Bon voyage. The Royal Penguin at Bridgewater Bay was seen by many birders on Saturday. Directions are as per a previous email from S Clark. Apparently the identification of the American Golden Plover at Westernport Bay has been confirmed. Good birding, David Andrew |
