I omitted the final para from my recent post re an unidentified call
in the Thredbo River area. General observations from a couple of
days in the Alpine Region follow:

 On other observations, most
marked were the exceedingly noisy flocks of Little Ravens (50+ to a
flock) and the frequent calls of Olive Whistlers in the gullies.
Also ... I always like to see the Richards Pippit way up in the
alpine plains above the tree line, recalling how one sees them from
the coast to the top of Kosi. Didn't like the ugly Red Fox sneaking
round the campsite looking for garbage. It's not often I wish I had
a rifle, but that's one of the times.
