BIRDLINE QUEENSLAND

10 February 1997

MAGPIE GOOSE at Rockhampton

Long-billed Corella nesting in Brisbane area

possible VARIABLE OYSTERCATCHER on MORETON ISLAND. Probably the same bird
as videoed by Tom Tarrant last year. The bird is banded and a banding team
on Moreton are hoping to ctach and check out the band (thought to be of New
Zealand origins).

Further details as they come to hand.
