The long-distance tern made it onto the ABC National news on Friday 31/1 (6pm bulletin) - probably via Bill at the RAOU (?). It was a well-informed report, anyway, and even had a typically Minton-esque few words from Clive himself. Unfortunately, the ABC didn't take up the chance to remind listeners that a great deal of of the preferred habitat for terns in Victoria is under threat from a range of industrial and commerical developments. Oh well, you can't have everything. Does anyone know if the tv networks carried the story -what about other radio? Cheers Russell Woodford Birding-Aus Thingammy or |
