Further to David Macdonalds note about the number of members in Australia's largest 'birdwatching organisation' standing at only just over 4,000. You may be interested to know that in the UK, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds currently has just under one million members. This is more paid up members than any of the political parties. Not, mind you that it means we can stop the habitat destroyers, but it does give us some real clout. Richard Thomas |
