For the third year running, I've seen a male Common Koel to the north or west of the Warrumbungle Nat. Park. No sign of a female though. Recent sighting was on Nov 9 of a calling male near a Mulberry tree a couple of km north of the park boundary. This is the same place I saw a male in 1994. I'm not aware of any sightings further west than the Warrumbungles in these parts. Rob McNaught |
