Hi, I'm a new subscriber to birding-aus and would like to introduce myself My name is Ian Cowan and I live at Clifton Beach just north of Cairns. I recently (13-19 October) spent a week at Lakefield national Park and observed 89 species in the park, including 2 that were not on the Park list distributed by the ranger station. They were Common Sandpiper and White winged Triller. Question: Does anyone know if the Cairns branch of the Bird Observers Club is still functioning? If so does anyone have a contact number for it. thanks Ian |
