The Queenslanders have been getting good birds too, The list speaks 
for itself.  How many people do you know with these birds on their 
Queensland list?

SOUTHPORT, QLD PELAGIC TRIP REPORT 26th October 1996 
 
Trip Summary: 
The first Pelagic trip in Australia to connect with the Mottled Petrel 
Migration, no doubt a major factor for all the rarities reported, a good 
number of the birds reported are considered very rare in SE QLD, 
for example Soft-plumaged Petrel being only the second record for QLD?  
 
Conditions: 
Fine. 
Water temperature 23.0C  
Departed at 6.00 am and returned at 2.30 pm.
