As a promotional exercise I have organised a special boat trip from
Sydney on board the Halicat. The aim here is to go out to sea as far
as possible to see what extra species we can pick up beyond 50NM.
(It is expected that we will reach 75-100NM from shore). The intention
is to run one Winter and one Summer Trip and if the exercise proves
worth while the owner of the vessel will consider applying for an
extended licence.
As the Halicat is not chartered to venture this distance at present
this trip will be offered at no charge. The only catch is that the
date cannot be fixed because of possible weather restrictions. This
means that to get a place on this trip will be by short notice
invitation only.

is on. It is hoped to arrange it for a Saturday or Sunday in June and
then again in January.
