In sending yesterday's message about Skuas, I should have mentioned that in Sibley Birds of the World V.1.5, the genus Catharacta has been merged with Stercorarius on the basis of DNA sequencing. The difference between Catharacta and Stercorarius is no greater than the distance between the different Stercorarius, and Stercorarius has precedence. Sorry for the oversight.
