Subject: | [ts-7000] TS-7260 "RS-232 break" on /dev/ttyTS0 (COM3) fails |

We're using the TS-7260 along with the TS-SER4 boards. Sending an RS-232 break on /dev/ttyTS0 (COM3) does not work! Sending it on /dev/ttyAM1 (COM2) or any of the expanded serial ports /dev/tts/4-7 (COM A-D) works fine. It's the same response whether using picocom ctl-A ctl-\ to send the break, or a c program using tcsendbreak(). It appears that the RS-232 break signal (outputting a long space or high voltage) is not implemented on COM3! OK, I know that the TS-7260 is a little bit dated, as well as serial communications, and especially the RS-232 break signal. But we still operating equipment that requires it! It took us some time to diagnose that this was the cause of our problem, so hopefully posting this will help someone else. Perhaps someone knows a work-around or a configuration that we've missed? Thanks! __._,_.___
