The site says that the 8 dry contacts are rated at 24V. I have only a little
experience with electronics. I thought that the schematics showed a resistor
that would protect the circuit. Did I misunderstand that? Also, if they are
dry contacts, why is there a charge on them?

I need to use this device to count pulses from a meter.

I am sure you can tell that I am pretty new to this stuff, but I am trying to
learn what I don't know. Thanks in advance for your advice.
