Hi,
I had the same issue in the TS-7553.
I created a small appl', taking the required bits of code from the modeswitch
code (+ string from the data package) and the libusb and connected the appl' to
the appropriate USB hot-plug event.
Not fun, but did the job (for a Huawei modem and an Alcatel).
