[ts-7000] send sms from a debian system to any mobile via bluetree 5600v2 modem

I have a TS 7800 ARM and a bluetree 5600v2 modem with Telus connection.
I need to send sms from TS 7800 to any mobile using bluetree modem.

but i figured out that this modem does not support SMS functionality.
I don't want to purchase another modem,So can anyone suggest some other options 
for sending SMS?
