Netbeans and eclipse are both available on Linux

There seems to be a developing trend for companies to deliver
Windows-based development tools for embedded Linux without the same
tools for Linux!

As for IDEs, I have a, somewhat irrational, prejudice against Java
[write once, run slowly everywhere] and would prefer not to use the
clunky Eclipse or Netbeans IDEs. I've just downloaded Code::Blocks and
Codelite and will evaluate them.
