I am trying to upgrade the busybox on my TS-7500 and am stuck trying to replace
the original busybox executable with my newly built executable.
I have built a busybox 1.18.3 executable using the cross toolchain for linux.
I am able to tftp this onto /tmp/ on my TS-7500 once it has booted into TS
Linux. The executable runs fine.
Now I want to overwrite the original busybox executable in the initrd with this
one, however, I am unsure how to do this.
My first impression from reading the documentation was that I could simply
delete the original executable, replace it with the new one, enter the 'save'
command and reboot.
However when I delete busybox (using the new busybox executable) it is no
longer visible in /bin, however a '<new busybox> df' command shows that the
amount of free space on / hasn't changed, and copying the new busybox to
/bin/busybox fails because there is not enough free space.
I think I'm going about this the wrong way and wonder if anyone can help me put
this busybox executable into my initrd?
In case it helps I also have an SD Card with the debian install on it.
Many thanks,
Travis.
