Yes it does work. Make sure that you have version 4 or better of the FPGA.

the command is

ts7500:~# ./ts7500ctl --info
model=0x7500
submodel=0x0
revision=0x4
bootmode=0x2
bootdev=0x1
resetsw_en=0x1
latched_dio9=0x1
dio=0x157f7ffffe0
ts7500:~#


This shows that it is veriosn 4, things are up to 5 and they do work. 
There are some limitations.  Only one proccess can grab the SPI bus and 
when there are writes to the SD card, which is SPI, then you you might 
loose some date.

If you have an older verison you can download a newer FPGA image and 
load it manually.
