I have been using the 7200 for a while now connecting to various 485 modbus
devices and have had no problem just using the +tx/rx (pin 1) and -tx/rx (pin
6). I am now looking at other 485 devices that refer to a 485 signal common in
addition to the +tx/rx and -tx/rx. I've noticed on the COM2 Serial Port Pin
Configuration of Connectors that there is no "common" pin labeled, only the
+tx/rx (pin 1) and -tx/rx (pin 6), this particular manufacturer is adamant that
we have to use the common pin to make the communications work, I am confused
because the ts7200 does not provide a common, only a +,-, and ground.
Thanks
Ken
