Hello,
I downloaded the 2G-mSD-7800-10-10-10.dd.gz image, unzipped it to a .dd file,
and then used dd to copy this out to a PNY 4G HD SD card. It boots just fine.
When I copy the same image to an 8G card, the boot loader appears to spend some
time looking for the SD card, fails to find it, and then boots the NAND image
instead. I have tried this with two 8G cards and two TS-7800s with the same
results.
I have read the image back from the 8G card and compared it to the original
file, and it is the same. If I mount the card in a reader on my Linux box, it
can see the partitions and file systems, so I don't think there is anything
wrong with the cards.
Just in case the new image has problems, I also copied the original SD image
that came with the units to the 8G card with the same results.
The boot loader reports this when power is first applied:
>> TS-BOOTROM - built Dec 4 2008
So, my question is this: Is there a limit to how large the SD card can be? If
not, any clues as to what is causing what I am seeing?
Thanks for any help.
