You can do both of these incredibly easily with the fastboot shell that we 
implement in the TS-7300.

This example shows how to boot a new kernel using our `bootload` application 
(compatible with the TS-7300), the TS-7300 will ALWAYS need to first boot from 
SD card to the fastboot shell in order to be able to start up.

And to boot to an NFS root at that point, you will need to modify the /linuxrc 
script in the fastboot shell (if you mount the SD card in a host linux PC it is 
the second partition) to mount an NFS share as opposed to mounting the third 
partition on the SD card.
