Hi,

You should modify the makefile to ensure that ARCH=arm and to use your designed cross compile tool chain. As for the steps, you can refer to the following link, http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ts-7000/message/14704. Thank you.

Subject: [ts-7000] Kernel 2.6 on TS-7260

Looking at the upgrade instructions from embdeddedarm.com on how to upgrade 2.4 to 2.6 I don't find it very clear. For example the step where it says

# Edit the Makefile at the Kernel root dir to point to the appropriate cross-compiler path

which path(s) variables need to be modified exactly? I'm not an expert at cross compiling and would be guess work

also,

type "make ts72xx_defconfig"

when you type that I get

Can't find default configuration "arch/x86/configs/ts72xx_defconfig"

obviously because there's no such file, even if I were to specify ts7260_defconfig

Maybe its just me I don't find these instructions very clear, did someone take the time to write more detailed instructions?
