Yeah this was also a problem in the TS7390. Anytime data had to be read/written to sd, a 100% spike would occur.

If you search the list there were similar complaints.

I don't know if a solution was found.

I have an application running on a 7350. This includes the gpsd daemon. Everything is going pretty well except that there are regular CPU spikes every 10 seconds or so. I ran 'top' in another ssh session and it looks like the process causing the spike is the tsscarda (SD disk). Does anyone know if this is normal or what I might be doing to cause the issue? Could it just be from reading/writing to the disk? I turned off the process that writes a small file to disk but still have the issue. I also lowered the priority of gpsd to 0 (renice).

Any ideas/thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve
