Hi All,

Just joined the list and have been looking for some help/gurus with some
experience of running the 2.6 kernel on the TS-7300. I have just got the
DevKit and have Debian (as supplied on SDcard) with ssh running on a 2.4
kernel. However apt seems very insistent on updating libc6 (i think
from memory). This fails with a message about upgrading to kernel 2.6
due to instability. So I am unable to install any software at the moment
as apt always fails.

So some advice would be good from someone else who might have tackled
this issue already. Ideally I would like to go to 2.6 but only if it is
proven to be stable and is not going to take me forever.. Otherwise I am
willing to hack around the apt problem as long as it remains stable in
operation. There is not a huge draw back to using 2.4 on this project.
However updates would be nice.

A config file for the kernel make would be nice with a configuration
that works. I am doing nothing fancy with the board yet ;) and maybe
some idiots instructions ;) as they never hurt.

Thanks in advance and nice to meet you all.

Tom
