Last night I was looking to update my ts 7260 to a 2.6 kernel and stumbled over
this image:
ftp://ftp.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7200-linux/binaries/ts-images/ts7260-linux2.6-etch.dd.bz2
I copied it to a 1GB sd and booted from it. It works nicely, both for
quickbooting and booting Debian normally.
However, I've hit a snag trying to resize it. It occupies 4 physical
partitions, so I cannot simply add one more.
What fdisk reports looks really messy, like so:
Disk /dev/sdc: 998 MB, 998768640 bytes
31 heads, 62 sectors/track, 1014 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 1922 * 512 = 984064 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disk identifier: 0x00000000
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdc1 1 1 1 c W95 FAT32 (LBA)
Partition 1 has different physical/logical beginnings (non-Linux?):
phys=(0, 1, 1) logical=(0, 0, 62)
Partition 1 has different physical/logical endings:
phys=(0, 1, 2) logical=(0, 1, 1)
Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sdc2 1 3 2560 da Non-FS data
Partition 2 has different physical/logical beginnings (non-Linux?):
phys=(0, 1, 3) logical=(0, 1, 2)
Partition 2 has different physical/logical endings:
phys=(5, 4, 59) logical=(2, 21, 37)
Partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sdc3 5 6 1536 da Non-FS data
Partition 3 has different physical/logical beginnings (non-Linux?):
phys=(8, 7, 21) logical=(4, 9, 10)
Partition 3 has different physical/logical endings:
phys=(11, 9, 42) logical=(5, 27, 43)
Partition 3 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sdc4 9 499 471040 83 Linux
Partition 4 has different physical/logical beginnings (non-Linux?):
phys=(16, 13, 39) logical=(8, 17, 18)
Partition 4 has different physical/logical endings:
phys=(982, 1, 34) logical=(498, 22, 7)
Partition 4 does not end on cylinder boundary.
I've tried resizing partition 4, but was unable to boot from the result.
So, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, Troels
