We're considering using a TS-7200 as an embedded computer in a piece of test
equipment. (All of our previous products just use a 8/16 bit MCU). The
problem I see is the time it takes to boot to linux. The user turns on the
equipment and sees nothing on his user interface (LCD).

Is there a way to output a message or splash screen to the LCD from redboot and
then go ahead and boot the TS-linux kernel?

I'm not experienced in this design environment, so any words of wisdom/sample
code/whatever are appreciated.

Thanks.
