Actually in general, compiling busybox is not that big a deal, and maybe
easier for non-programmers[1]. Anyway choice is good - rebuild busybox or
code your own.

[1] However finding a version that compiled with the TS crosscompiler was
more of a problem. And compiling an all features busybox gave me lots of
utilities that TS in their wisdom left out of their build, or were not
present in the very early busybox version TS built from.
