Since you are able to boot from SPI flash, you can boot off-board and recover 
your kernel using that method.  You can find our latest stock kernel here: 
ftp://oz.embeddedarm.com/ts-arm-sbc/ts-7500-linux/binaries/ts-kernels/Image-jun012010.dd

When compiling your own kernel from source you want to make sure to run the 
following against a freshly unpacked source tree:
`make mrproper && make ts7500_defconfig && make oldconfig && make && make 
modules` to build our stock kernel.
