I think you have to mount with "mount -o rw /dev/sda1 /mnt/host", if sda1 is found. My sda1 was not found by TS-7800 and I wrote "mknod /dev/sda1 b 8 1" to get it there (I guess parameters can be different with other USB memory sticks, but it's worth a try). If your USB flash filesystem is ext2/ext3, there should be no problem. Else, you may have to use -t option

mount -t [filesystem type] -o rw /dev/sda1 /mnt/host

Busybox (initial console) is not the kernel.

firstly, thank you very much for your answers.

As you can understand, I am very confused about the terms since this is the first time I have ever touched single board computer and embeded linux. So,sorry for the confusion.

I  think I should explain my aim more clearly. I need to make one way data transfer using two usb devices (it may be flash or hard drives) via ts7800.  so, I tried to mount them . In the complete debian linux system , I manage to mount them. However, in the busybox(initial console) I can't even see "sda" or "sdb".

so is this possible to set the busybox to see both usb devices?
