Most of the time is spent in initializing and setting up the journaling flash 
file system, something which can't easily be made any faster.

If what you see is the board start-up being very fast the first dozen times you 
boot and the system gets slower and slower on boot-up as the system is used, 
that's the journaling flash file system taking more and more time to get ready 
to run.
