[ts-7000] TS-7800 port multiplier support ...

I tried attaching an external disk array to a 7800 SATA port  wasn't able to 
see any of the drives it contained, but can attach and probe individual drives 
without a hitch.  Is there support in the distributed 7800 mvsata driver for 
port multipliers and I just don't have it configured appropriately?  Anyone had 
success with something similar?
