Right, lenny is distributed with the newer pthreads library which implements NPTL, which is AFAIK POSIX-compliant. We've upgraded some of our units to lenny, which has given better results. I believe though, that NPTL pthreads also suffers from the same problems when using setuid from multiple threads.
