Jeff,
Just today I included a "Example Usage" section in the BAT3 manual. Maybe you
could get some ideas from that...

Basically, you could use the BAT3 program to put the board to sleep for
specified amount of time so it will wake up automatically. I'm not so sure
about having another device control its power.
