Oh yes - I did compile against it and released a patch a long time ago.
I was able to use their sdcore.c to replace the reverse-engineered one I
built from their blob. Much as I'd like to have claimed my reverse
engineering to be perfect - the original sdcore.c was far more elegant
and didn't exhibit some of the bugs my code->c translation did. :)
I made a chunk of fixes to the "shim" layer and improved the DMA-read
support. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to do DMA write support.
I had 2.6.27/29 booting directly from the SD card - which allowed me to
build a no-initrd system, and boot the system directly from a single
ext2 partition. The solution wasn't test hardened, however, it was very
convenient to be able to build an entire system image on my pc; program
an SD card and then just boot the board off of it.
