Without a doubt the TS-7260 is the best hardware for the kind of
application I'm doing (solar/low power robotic controller). But I'm
still struggling with the lenny image. I was looking for something
that would run Debian out of the box. My issues:

a) USB power doesn't become enabled on start. It does with Sarge(2.4)
b) Fastboot always starts the fastboot image rather than booting
directly into Debian. In Sarge (2.4) you could add/remove a file to
control this.
c) Something wrong with mounting /dev/pts preventing SSH access.
Again, this worked in Sarge.

I can't say that these are the only issues; not having USB means that
I don't know if simple things like the USB serial driver is loaded.

By the way, the reason I can't use Sarge is that to run my apps in
python I need ctypes to connect to the controller libraries, and Sarge
doesn't have working ctypes.

And to answer your question, yes I would pay - although I do feel that
paying TS to improve their own product means they should stump up as
well; after all it will greatly improve the product. The TS-7260 is a
current product, so I don't think its a big ask to keep things
reasonably up to date; in fact I would settle for working.

Anyhow, tonight I will be working on the USB power issue again. I've
tried to use peekpoke to turn the power off and on, but no luck as
yet.
