Just a minor nit: if it's statically linked, then it's independent of the 
distro, and you can use any statically linked binary you can find.   (Well, in 
theory at least .... not sure if the marvell processor would run a statically 
linked ep93xx binary, ARMv5 vs ARMv4t issue.)
