OK... I understand what's going on... the tsinit script is being run in the
background (check-usb-update, which invokes tsinit is run with & tail at the
top of the linuxrc script).

So, can anyone think of a clever way to get check-usb-update to make tsinit the
foreground process when it starts it?

I suppose I could just run check-usb-update late in the linuxrc script w/o
running in the background, but when the usb drive isn't present, I don't really
want the startup process to hang for the full time it takes to find the usb
drive, etc...)

Ideally I'd just like to force all console input to go to tsinit by some clever
redirection scheme, or by moving the script to the foreground...

Eric
