Thanks for the tip!  I installed them on an i386 ubuntu.  The install process 
was not as simple as the instructions on the crosstools wiki, but I found that 
others that have had similar issues and discovered a workaround.  I intend to 
test them next...after reading the docs.  It seems that emdebian might have 
more useful stuff than just the crosstools.

An update to my last post:
I compiled the uvcvideo module and installed it.  Got motion installed, plugged 
in the logitech quickcam deluxe for notebooks, configured motion, and now can 
[more or less] stream video through my 7260.  It works, but will segfault if 
the scene changes too fast :\
