Hi,

this may be just finger trouble but I can't see why the board is not seeing any
communication with the mouse on tty0.

this is something I had working a year ago but may be I have "fixed" something
in the mean time.

I removed the getty spawn from inittab:
#lgn0:12345:respawn:/sbin/getty -L 115200 ttyAM0

I removed JP2 to prevent console output. I reboot and interact with the board
via ssh.

I am using the electronics of an old serial mouse in some other hardware. The
mouse has been verified on a desktop PC's com1 using minicom set at 1200 7N1.
It's gibberish but I can see it is communication in a stable manner.

Before flipping JP2 I verified the serial link via minicom at 115200 8N1 , so i
know the hardware is all good.

I have a C program that sets up the serial port and listens to it. This reports
that the port opens and configures correctly but fails to show any output in
response to "mouse" movement.

This program was compiled natively using a TS debian root fs.

It seems likely I'm overlooking something simple but I can't see what.

Anyone see what I'm missing?

thx.
