Pierre, From your descriptions, this may be obvious, but it seems to me that Python is configured on your box to only look for input from a specific device, maybe /dev/tty. Your application is obviously not the issue, but Python config itself. Try launching your python app using the -u option, which forces stdin/stdout to operate unbuffered. Look in Python docs for "PYTHONUNBUFFERED". Also try launching with the "-" option, which "reads commands from stdin" I'd focus on anything you can find that specifically configures python regarding stdin You might even try launching your app with a pipe that sets $0 > /dev/usbkeyboarddevice (whatever your actual keyboard node shows up as) Eric On Fri, Aug 21, 2009 at 10:15 AM, pierrot lafouine <> wrote:
