Hello,

I'm trying to use a 2.6 kernel and load the debian-sarge root filesystem from a
CF card. The kernel zImage-72xx-2.6.21-ts loads into memory fine from my TFTP
server. Then when I try and run it, with

exec -c "ttyAM0,11500 root=/dev/hda1 ip=dhcp"

I get

Uncompressing
linux..................................................................................................
 done, booting the kernel.

And then nothing at all, it stops responding.

I'm assuming that this is because of the IDE issued with the 2.6 kernel, and I
tried to cross-compile the kernel with patches from various sets of
instructions. Frankly, I don't have the experience to do this successfully.

Could someone please post a working binary of the 2.6 kernel with compactflash
abilities? Or if this is already online somewhere, point me to it?

Thanks,
Aaron
